This module provides a structured approach to otitis externa, covering typical clinical features, severity grading, and clear diagnostic, referral, and management pathways. It emphasises safe differentiation from key differentials (including foreign body, AOM, otomycosis, furunculosis, trauma, and mastoiditis), with practical guidance on first-line treatment, when to escalate, and prevention and counselling to reduce recurrence.
