About the event
This module covers advanced assessment and management of paediatric ear disease, including CSOM, tympanic membrane perforation (acute vs chronic), otorrhoea patterns, and inflammatory pathology (granuloma/polyps), with clear diagnostic and referral pathways. It emphasises recognition of cholesteatoma warning features and consideration of tympanosclerosis/atelectasis progression risk. Pharmacotherapy teaching includes practical use of common analgesics and oral/topical antibiotics (indications, contraindications, adverse effects, and dosing principles). Content integrates extended history, otoscopy and assessment findings to support informed diagnosis, escalation decisions for recurrent AOM, and complication risk management.
